If you are thinking about having cosmetic surgery and do not live in Southern California, here are some things you need to keep in mind. Although our surgeries are all relatively safe, they are still surgeries. Like all surgeries there is some degree of risks and possible complications you need to consider.
- Patients must plan to be in town for 10 days.
- Patients must arrive a day prior in order to meet with the doctor. Although email consultations are convenient, they can never replace an in person consultation. You will have a formal 2nd consultation, sign consent forms and have lab work done. Your prescription for medication will be given to you as well.
- Day of surgery, you must bring your medication with you, have a hearty meal (yes a meal! we are different than procedures done under general anesthesia), and wear loose comfortable clothing. Please bring some warm socks as
the OR can be a little chilly.
- Your first post-op visit will be 2 days after surgery.
- Compression garment will be provided at your first post-op visit
- Your next post-op visit will depend on what the doctor sees as far as how your body is reacting and healing to the procedure. This is to ensure proper healing!
- Compression Garments should be worn 24 hours for 8 weeks.
- Depending on the procedure, the timing and number of follow-ups you will need may vary.
